A campfire is a world object in Fallout: New Vegas, serving the same purpose as the electric hot plate.
Overview
Campfires in the Mojave Wasteland are used to cook raw meats and to create a wide variety of medicines, chems, and poisons. Campfires are scattered around the wasteland and will usually be found surrounded by some form of benches or makeshift bedding. Around the campfire, one may find pots, pans, and other various cooking utensils. Campfires may be found lit or unlit, but they still all function the same way.

Notes
If one has the Home on the Range perk (only available with Honest Hearts installed), they will have the option to sleep when they interact with a campfire, and it will still give all the benefits of when one sleeps on a normal bed.
